Getting started with crypto payments
Start accepting crypto payments.
How can I accept cryptocurrency payments for my business?+
You need a receiving wallet and a way to request and track payments. CrypticaPay connects these through crypto invoices, payment profiles, community bots, and store integrations. Customers pay directly to your wallet, while the platform tracks payment status.
Can I accept crypto payments without coding?+
Yes. CrypticaPay’s dashboard lets you create invoices and share a payment profile without writing code. WooCommerce stores can use the plugin, while custom stores can build their own checkout through the API.
How long does it take to set up crypto payments?+
Setup is straightforward when your receiving wallet details are ready. Create a CrypticaPay account, add your wallets, purchase service credits, and configure your payment tool. Plugins, community bots, and custom integrations may require additional configuration and testing.
Can I accept crypto payments without a website?+
Yes. Share a crypto invoice link or a Pay Me payment profile through email, messages, or social media. CrypticaPay also supports payment workflows within Discord and Telegram communities.
Does CrypticaPay require KYC verification to get started?+
No. CrypticaPay does not require KYC verification for onboarding. Customer payments go directly to wallets you control, and the platform does not hold your funds. Merchants remain responsible for any customer checks required for their own business.
Non-custodial payments and control of funds
Keep control of what you receive.
What is a non-custodial crypto payment gateway?+
A non-custodial crypto payment gateway creates payment requests and tracks blockchain transactions while customers pay directly into the recipient’s wallet. CrypticaPay provides this payment coordination and tracking without holding your funds or requiring your private keys.
How do custodial and non-custodial payment gateways differ?+
A custodial gateway holds funds on your behalf before you withdraw them or receive a payout. A non-custodial gateway such as CrypticaPay directs payments to your receiving wallet, where you retain control of the funds and private keys.
What are the benefits of non-custodial crypto payments?+
You receive funds directly into your wallet without a gateway-held balance, withdrawal requests, or a provider payout schedule. CrypticaPay cannot withhold a custodial balance because it never holds one. Blockchain confirmation times still apply, and you remain responsible for wallet security.
Can customers pay directly into my own crypto wallet?+
Yes. With CrypticaPay, customers send the requested cryptocurrency directly to your configured receiving wallet. The platform monitors and matches the payment without moving the funds on your behalf.
Does a crypto payment gateway need my private keys?+
A non-custodial tracking service does not need signing access to your wallet. CrypticaPay uses public receiving information, such as an address or supported xpub setup. Never provide your private keys or seed phrase when adding a wallet.
Accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins
Choose the right asset and network.
How do I accept Bitcoin payments?+
Add a supported Bitcoin receiving address or an xpub with its matching child address. Then enable Bitcoin in your chosen CrypticaPay payment flow and share the request with your customer. The customer pays your wallet directly, and the platform tracks the transaction.
How do I accept Ethereum payments?+
Add an eligible ETH receiving address on the supported network and enable it in your payment setup. CrypticaPay presents the payment amount, address, and network instructions to the customer and tracks the incoming payment.
How do I accept USDT payments?+
Select a supported USDT network, add a compatible receiving address, and enable USDT in your payment tool. Customers must send USDT on the network specified in the request. CrypticaPay tracks the payment while the tokens go directly to your wallet.
How do I accept USDC payments?+
Configure a receiving wallet for a supported USDC network and enable it in your invoice, profile, or checkout. The customer must use the selected network and payment instructions. CrypticaPay monitors the transaction and updates its payment status.
How do I choose the correct network for crypto payments?+
Choose an asset-and-network combination supported by both your receiving wallet and payment service. Tokens such as USDT and USDC exist on multiple networks. In CrypticaPay, configure the correct combination and ask customers to follow the network shown in their payment instructions.
Payment links, usernames, and peer-to-peer payments
Make direct payments easier to share.
Can someone pay me in crypto using a username or payment link?+
Yes. CrypticaPay’s Pay Me link opens a public payment profile associated with your username. The payer chooses an enabled asset and receives the instructions needed to pay directly into your configured wallet.
Can I receive crypto without repeatedly sharing wallet addresses?+
Yes. Share your Pay Me profile link instead of sending separate addresses for each supported asset. CrypticaPay presents the appropriate payment details after the payer selects an asset and network.
Does the payer need a CrypticaPay account to use my Pay Me link?+
No. You need a CrypticaPay account to create and configure your payment profile, but someone paying through its link does not need an account. They can open the profile and follow the payment instructions.
Can peer-to-peer crypto payments work without a custodial balance?+
Yes. A username-based profile makes finding a recipient more familiar while funds still move directly between wallets. CrypticaPay’s Pay Me feature supports this experience without creating a platform-held payment balance.
WooCommerce and custom-store integrations
Connect payments to your store.
How do I accept crypto payments on WooCommerce?+
Connect a crypto payment plugin, configure your receiving wallets and accepted assets, and test the checkout before launch. CrypticaPay’s WooCommerce integration links store payments to its non-custodial tracking system, with funds going directly to your wallets.
How do I add crypto payments to a custom online store?+
Use a payment API to create a request for an order, display the payment instructions, and receive status updates. CrypticaPay’s Custom Store API handles payment tracking while your application manages order updates and fulfilment.
Can I integrate crypto payments using any programming language or stack?+
Yes, provided your application can make the required HTTPS requests and handle payment updates. CrypticaPay’s Custom Store API lets you build a payment flow suited to your store’s technology and checkout design.
How can my custom store know when a crypto payment is confirmed?+
Your integration can receive payment-status updates through webhooks and check status through the API. With CrypticaPay, your application uses the required confirmed state to decide when to fulfil an order or unlock access.
Discord, Telegram, and industry use cases
Build payments into your community.
How can I accept crypto payments in Discord or Telegram?+
Use a payment bot to create requests and communicate payment status within your community. CrypticaPay’s Discord and Telegram tools support configured workflows that can grant roles or access after the required payment state is reached.
Which businesses can benefit from accepting crypto payments?+
Examples include e-commerce stores, freelancers, software services, VPN providers, web-hosting and server-rental businesses, communities, and premium-content creators. CrypticaPay supports these payment workflows through invoices, profiles, bots, WooCommerce, and custom-store integrations.
Can CrypticaPay be used for iGaming, adult entertainment, or premium-content payments?+
Yes. CrypticaPay provides non-custodial payment tracking that can be integrated into these platforms, with payments going directly to the merchant’s wallet. Merchants remain responsible for operating lawfully, meeting applicable licensing and customer-verification requirements, and following the platform’s Terms of Service.
Fees, payment mistakes, and refunds
Understand costs and payment issues.
How much does it cost to accept crypto payments?+
Costs can include payment tracking, selected feature subscriptions, and blockchain network fees. CrypticaPay uses prepaid credits for tracking: at the standard rate, US$10 buys 1,000 credits. Successful transactions deduct one credit per US dollar of value, capped at 2,000 credits per transaction. Bulk purchases offer lower rates.
Are blockchain network fees included in payment-gateway fees?+
Not necessarily. Network fees pay for processing transactions on the blockchain and are separate from service charges. CrypticaPay’s credits and subscriptions do not include blockchain network fees.
What happens if a customer sends too little or too much cryptocurrency?+
Handling depends on the payment mode. CrypticaPay’s Advanced mode detects partial payments and overpayments within the invoice window. Basic mode, including Hybrid’s Basic fallback, requires an exact payment and does not automatically identify these mistakes.
Can a customer complete a crypto payment in multiple transfers?+
In CrypticaPay’s Advanced mode, a customer can make up to three payment attempts within the invoice window. If the combined amount remains short after the third attempt, the invoice is recorded as underpaid.
How long does a crypto payment take to confirm?+
Confirmation time depends on the blockchain network, transaction conditions, and required confirmation threshold. CrypticaPay distinguishes between a detected transaction and a confirmed payment so you can follow its progress.
How do refunds work with non-custodial crypto payments?+
The recipient reviews the transaction and sends any agreed refund from their own wallet. CrypticaPay helps track and identify payments but does not hold the funds or issue refunds on the recipient’s behalf.
