Assets and networks
The asset is only half the instruction.
Every payment request must identify both the cryptocurrency and the network. Availability can vary by product configuration, receiving wallet, and current platform support.
| Asset | Symbol | Type | Network instruction |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| ETH | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| USDT | Stablecoin | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| USDC | Stablecoin | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| SOL | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| BNB | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| AVAX | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. | |
| POL | Native asset | Use only the network displayed in the live payment request. |
Why the network matters
Tokens such as USDT and USDC can exist on more than one blockchain. A matching ticker does not make two networks interchangeable.
- Confirm that the receiving wallet supports the displayed asset and network.
- Copy the address from the active payment request.
- Do not substitute a network because it has lower fees.
- Check the payment screen again before sending.
